FM-200 is an innovative clean agent used in modern fire suppression systems that was originally created to substitute Halon gas. FM-200 is a hydrofluorocarbon (HFC) compound, meaning it does have a large Global Warming Potential (GWP) – however, it also features zero Ozone depletion.
Unlike CO2 for fire suppression, FM-200 is composed of three compounds: Carbon, Fluorine, and Hydrogen. FM-200 extinguishes fires using a two-step process 1) interrupting the chemical chain reaction of combustion, followed by 2) removing heat from the combustion process, making it an extremely effective suppression agent.
FM-200 is safe for use in areas that support human occupancy, as well as areas that house sensitive electronics.
Installing a modern and environmentally friendly clean agent and disposing of dated Halons and HFCs is easy when working with Control Fire Systems. We determine the price that you will be paid for the sale of your Halon gas or HFCs. In order for us to determine that price, we need to collect two pieces of information from you:
Using this information, we generate a purchase value for your products based on the current commodity price of your suppression agents. After all of these steps have been completed and agreed upon, we will send you a purchase order.
Control Fire Systems will also provide you with an explanation of the Bill of Lading, all of the required MSDS sheets, and the dangerous goods placards that your shipping vehicle will require.
After receiving the tanks at our facility, we will provide you with a list of detailed weights within 72 hours (total weight of tank - tare weight & nitrogen loss = agent weight received). You will then need to invoice Control Fire Systems in order for us to pay you for the suppression agents.
Control Fire Systems is here to sell our suppression products to you, whether you're located in the USA or Canada. We provide two different options for FM-200 tank sizes, a 1-ton tank, or a ½ ton tank.
Our experts will arrive on-site to decommission your current fire suppression system in order to install an up-to-date system, and all of our work is fully insured and handled with meticulous care. We provide quick turnarounds on all of our cylinder refills, meaning you can be protected for as much time as possible.
Shipping is also a breeze when working with Control Fire Systems – we also supply the necessary dangerous goods placards and required MSDS sheets for your transport vehicle. Our products are stored in our fully ULC-certified storage and recycling facility and then shipped directly to you.
